With over 17 years of experience in the mental health field, Jineya has been practicing as a clinical counsellor in Rossland and Castlegar for the past nine years. She has advanced training in childhood trauma, PTSD, critical incident stress, EMDR, Polyvagal theory, anxiety, depression, anger management, stress and burnout, compassion fatigue, grief and loss, identity development, and a wide range of other mental health concerns.

She also works to support clients navigating the medical system, with a particular interest in autoimmune conditions, hormone health, chronic illness, and chronic pain. Her recent professional development has included training psychedelic-assisted therapy, ADHD, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), though she does not hold advanced certification in those areas.

As an immigrant and person of colour, Jineya is passionate about supporting individuals who experience multiple forms of marginalization. She is committed to fostering inclusive spaces and works to address systems of harm in both her professional and personal life.

Jineya works with adults (18+) from diverse backgrounds, including teachers, healthcare professionals, industrial workers, college and university students, parents, and individuals seeking meaningful change in their lives, relationships, and sense of self.

Her therapeutic approach integrates person-centred, mindfulness-based practices with EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and attachment theory. She strives to create a supportive environment where clients can deepen their understanding of themselves, clarify their values, and build lives that align with their goals and aspirations.
